It all started with Jeremy Clarkson's outrageous itch for some a bit of stillness. After years of driving exotic vehicles in the concrete maze, he craved a glimpse of open spaces. Naturally, Richard Hammond and James May eagerly agreed. So they threw some things in the back and headed for the middle of England's rolling hills.

Sheriff Johnson was left with no choice but to arrest/detain/apprehend the Top Gear presenters, who were charged/cited for/accused of several traffic violations/misdemeanors/infractions.

As for the cars? Well, let's just say that they weren't in perfect condition/pristine/showroom ready when they left town.
